It is believed that Chelsea defender David Luiz has travelled to Barcelona to see a specialist about his knee injury, according to Sky Sports News.
Luiz has only competed in one of Chelsea’s last nine matches in all competitions, the 4-1 loss at Vicarage Road to Watford, due to knee and ankle injuries received.
It has been reported that he will not be fit for the next three fixtures, against Crystal Palace, FC Barcelona and Leicester City, but that he will be available for the derby match against Tottenham Hotspur on April 1st, in a crucial match for the race for the top four.
He has reportedly flown to Catalonia twice in the few weeks he has been out of action to see a specialist in Barcelona for his knee and ankle injury.
It is believed that he hasn’t had surgery on his injuries and that he is just recovering and getting ready for his return for Chelsea.
The Blues currently sit fifth in the Premier League table and will have to try and fight for a little longer to get into the top four without their Brazilian defender.
Despite having bad results against Manchester United and Manchester City, the tough fixtures keep coming and the fight will be tough, especially with a slim defence.
