Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has told Chelsea to push on with any transfer dealings, even with the uncertainty of who will be at the helm with speculation Conte will leave this summer.
The club will look to sign Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri for £30m, a player they have been interested in for a long time now.
Abramovich is determined to rebuild the squad despite the uncertainty over Conte’s future, with it wildly thought in the press the Italian will be leaving Chelsea this summer.
The Nice midfield player is also wanted by Barcelona and Liverpool, so Abramovich wants to act quickly and get their man.
It is reported that Conte will leave his post when the season finishes with Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri, ex-Barcelona boss Luis Enrique and Juventus manager Max Allegri all being mentioned to take over from the Italian.
It has been a disappointing season for the Blues, with Champions League football looking highly unlikely, many fans and pundits believe it is Conte’s time to go.
However, with the FA Cup final against United in May, if Conte were to win that would it keep him his job? After the fantastic season last year there is no doubt Conte is still a fantastic manager.
