Chelsea could offer €40 million plus striker Alvaro Morata to sign Inter Milan star Mario Icardi, according to Football Italia.
Morata had an underwhelming first season in the Premier League and is frequently being linked with a move to Juventus.
There are reports that the Spaniard was spotted in Milan last week, meeting with Juventus director Fabricio Paratici, however, there are also other Serie A options for the Chelsea striker.
The Blues believe that their £60 million forward could be used to help them secure the Inter Milan frontman Icardi.
The Argentinian striker has scored 107 goals in 182 appearances for the Serie A side and is still just 25-years-old, making him an expensive commodity.
His release clause is believed to be around €110 million euros, so a Morata plus €40 million deal would add up to a similar value, if Inter decided that they’d rather take the Spaniard then the cash.
Morata is understood to be interested in the move to the San Siro, as they have qualified for the Champions League and his fashion blogging wife would love to live in Milan.
