Chelsea, along with a host of other top Premier League clubs, are interested in signing winger Wilfried Zaha in this window, but, according to Football.London, Crystal Palace are confident of keeping their man.
It is no surprise the Ivorian has so many potential suitors, he was pivotal in Crystal Palace’s climb away from relegation places last season, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson believes the former Manchester United man will stay at Selhurst Park this summer:
This is his club and he knows how much we and the fans value him, and I am hopeful that this will remain as speculation. I don’t blame other clubs for coveting him, but he is ours, he is under contract here, and I believe he will still be our player when the season begins.
Zaha signed a new five-year deal last summer to put an end to any speculation, and there is now talk the London club are going to offer him yet another improved deal.
Chelsea are still in the midst of a possible managerial change so any deal for Zaha will likely be on the back burner for now.
