Chelsea’s managerial limbo is closing in on its conclusion with Maurizio Sarri set to be announced as the new boss within 48 hours.
Reports from Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that the announcement is close after talks continued between both clubs on Monday.
Some reports have claimed that Roman Abramovich personally phoned Aurelio De Laurentiis on Monday in an attempt to speed up the process.

Chelsea had been hoping to have Sarri in place prior to Monday’s first training session, but Antonio Conte led the way.
Conte remains in charge at Chelsea, but it is believed that everything is in place for the Italian to leave and make way for Sarri.
Chelsea have been working on a compensation deal for Conte and the members of his coaching staff with the current head coach having one year remaining on his contract.
It has also been claimed that Sarri’s arrival will see Chelsea kick-start their summer transfer business.
