Barcelona eye Kante deal with Andre Gomes included

Barcelona are reportedly ready to move for N’Golo Kante this summer in a deal that could see Andre Gomes move in the opposite direction.

Reports from Gianluca Di Marzio suggest that Barcelona have earmarked Kante as a replacement for Paulinho.

The La Liga champions are in the market for midfielders following Paulinho’s and Andres Iniesta’s departure from the Nou Camp.

Gomes appears to be surplus to requirements at Barcelona after failing to make a mark after joining from Valencia.

The Portuguese international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, with Arsenal the most recent club to express an interest in the player.

Chelsea will be hoping to keep Kante at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer and talks are believed to be underway over a new deal.

Kante is not the only Chelsea player Barcelona are interested in this summer. They have made two bids to sign Willian, whilst have also expressed an interest in Eden Hazard.
