Atletico Madrid make contact with Chelsea over Batshuayi deal

Atletico Madrid have made contact with Chelsea to discuss a loan deal for Michy Batshuayi, but Valencia still lead the race to sign him.

L’Equipe say that Aleti directors have spoken to Chelsea about a loan move that will not include an option to buy on a permanent basis.

Batshuayi has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, but recent reports have suggested that Maurizio Sarri would like to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian international spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund but it is yet to be seen what kind of role he has in London this season.

Valencia have been touted as the most likely destination for the striker should he leave the club this summer.

The report claims that a move to the Mestalla would interest the former Marseille man, but no decision has been made about his future yet.
