United planning Milinkovic-Savic bid

Manchester United are ready to rival Chelsea in a move to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports in Italy.

Calciomercato reports that United want to win the race to sign the player and are preparing an offer for the player that is valued at a cool £100 million.

Reports linking United to the Serbian follow claims that Paul Pogba could be on the move this summer.

Milan, Chelsea and Juventus have all been linked with the player, while Real Madrid are also believed to be a potential destination for the player.

Both Juventus and Milan are unlikely to be able to meet Lazio’s asking price this summer, while English-based reports claimed Chelsea were favourites to sign the player.

The report claims that former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, who is the player’s agent, wants the midfielder to make a big-money move this summer.

Lazio face a fight to keep the player after a breakthrough season in Serie A last season.
