England manager Gareth Southgate will cast a keen eye over the performance of Chelsea youngster Mason Mount in Derby County’s fixture against Blackburn Rovers.
The playmaker joined the Rams on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has since established himself as a vital player in the first-team.
Mount has enjoyed an impressive start to the new season and has flourished under the management of former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

The young midfielder spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie and caught the eye, prompting a host of EFL clubs to express an interest ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Mount’s form in recent times hasn’t gone unnoticed, though, and according to a report from the Times, England boss Southgate will attend Derby’s fixture with Blackburn to observe the progress of the youngster.
The promising Chelsea man may not yet be especially close to a call-up on the senior stage for his country, but it seems Southgate has identified Mount as a player who could play a part for England in the future.
