Piatek not for sale in January says Genoa chief

Chelsea and Liverpool target Krzysztof Piątek will not be sold during the January transfer window.

According to Genoa director Giorgio Perinetti, the player will remain with the Italian side beyond the new year.

Perinetti was speaking to Radio Sportiva, as reported by David Amoyal on Twitter.

We should absolutely exclude [the] possibility of Piatek being sold in January. He can improve even more so it’s hard to imagine the parameters & set his valuation now.

Piatek is attracting a wealth of interest from across Europe after his fine start to the season with Genoa.

The Pole has scored nine goals in eight league games this season and is being dubbed as ‘the next Robert Lewandowski.’

Chelsea are among the interested parties, while Bayern, Barcelona, Napoli and Juventus have all been linked with the forward in recent weeks.

It is believed that the Italians were demanding around €40 million for the striker’s services, but they are hoping to keep hold of him until the summer at least.
