Sarri hits back at claims Christensen could leave the club

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri did not take too kindly to claims from Andreas Christensen’s father suggesting he could leave the club in the near future.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, as reported by ESPN’s Liam Twomey, Sarri spoke of his hope for Christensen, as he aims to give the young Danish defender more game time going forward.

The player’s father spoke on Danish TV this week suggesting Christesen could push for a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge if he does start getting regular first-team football at the club.

Christensen was a regular for Antonio Conte last season but has seen his football limited to appearances in the League Cup and the Europa League for the most part.

He has featured in three of the club’s last six games and an injury to Antonio Rudiger could see him given a chance to impress against Manchester United this weekend.
