Juventus leading Chelsea in Tonali race
Juventus have reportedly moved ahead of Chelsea and Manchester City in the race to sign Brescia star Sandro Tonali.
It is stated by Tuttosport, as per a report from Calciomercato, that the Serie A leaders have stolen a march on their competitors as they look to recruit the promising youngster.
The Blues, along with Pep Guardiola’s City side, have been heavily linked with a swoop for Tonali, who has earned rave reviews for performances in his homeland of Italy.
From 15 appearances in Serie B this season, the midfielder has contributed with one goal. He has, however, chipped in with five assists for Brescia.
The 18-year-old has been compared to infamous Italian playmaker Andrea Pirlo in recent times and looks set to be highly sought-after as the January transfer window draws ever closer.
Chelsea could be active at the turn of the year as Maurizio Sarri bids to maintain the team’s push for a successful season.
