Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly due in London tomorrow as his switch to Chelsea draws nearer.
According to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the Argentinian star is set to undergo a medical at the Blues in the coming days, before completing his loan move to Stamford Bridge.
Milan were supposed to have Higuain on their books until the end of the season, but manager Gennaro Gattuso is now resigned to his departure, as Chelsea search for a striker.
With Alvaro Morata’s loan move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid completed, Olivier Giroud is Chelsea’s only established striker left in the squad.
But Higuain is set to fill the void left by Morata, as Maurizio Sarri tries to add more firepower to his attack. The West Londoners have been short of goals this season with a lack of presence up front, with Morata misfiring and Giroud low on confidence.
