Chelsea appear ready to step up their interest in Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara.
According to Mercato 365, Chelsea scouts watched the player in action over the weekend.
Blues officials were said to be at the Stade Gaston Gerard on Friday night to see Marseille win 2-1.
The defender started alongside Duje Caleta-Car and was booked in the final moments of the victory.
The report claims that Chelsea are keen to keep tabs on the player’s development ahead of the summer transfer window.
Other scouts from English clubs were also at the game, but the report does not clarify if they were also present to see Kamara.
Chelsea are likely to be in the market for a central defender in the summer.
Gary Cahill is set to leave the club at the end of his current deal, which expires at the end of the season.
