Chelsea confident Juventus will cut Higuain price
Chelsea are said to be confident Juventus will lower the agreed fee of €36 million to make Gonzalo Higuain’s move to Stamford Bridge a permanent one.
A report from ESPN states that the Blues coughed up €9 million in an initial loan fee for the Juve man, who had been loaned out to Milan in the earlier portion of the season.
Having struggled at the San Siro, the 31-year-old has been enjoying better fortunes in England. With two goals in his first four appearances, the forward has filled the void long experienced at the top of Chelsea’s formation.
His addition has been indicative of a squad being increasingly made in the image of new boss Maurizio Sarri, who has struggled to adapt his style for some of those existing Chelsea players.
Despite the club’s turbulent form, it is thought that the Argentine is ready to make the English capital his permanent home – even if the club themselves are unwilling to pay the agreed fee.
