Kepa in line to return for Fulham clash

Kepa Arrizabalaga has ‘served his time’, and could don the gloves once again for Sunday’s visit to Fulham.

The Spaniard was dropped in favour of Willy Caballero for the 2-0 win against Spurs after the League Cup final debacle, which saw him refuse a substitution attempt from manager Maurizio Sarri late in extra time.

The Italian sought to send a message with his team selection on Wednesday night, and it seems as though both parties have made efforts to clear the air.

Quoted by Four Four Two, Sarri said of his call to bench the shot-stopper:

I think it was the right decision.

Kepa made a big mistake, he paid with the club and then he had to pay with the team. Now I think we have to stop. Kepa from tomorrow will be with us.

I don’t know if in the next match he will be on the pitch or not. In one of the next two, for sure,

Despite still being the clear number one, Sarri will continue to share minutes out between the former Athletic Bilbao man and Caballero, as the Blues enter a congested period of fixtures.
