Manchester United have reportedly been ‘convinced’ by Sporting midfielder and Chelsea-linked Bruno Fernandes.
According to claims in Portugal from A Bola, as cited on Sport Witness, United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in signing the player, but the former are currently leading the way.
The report describes United as being convinced by the player’s qualities after scouting him over the weekend.
Fernandes has been a target for a number of Premier League clubs for some time and the report claims that United were taking a close look at the player in action against Portimonense.
The hosts came out 3-1 winners in the end, with Fernandes scoring a late penalty to confirm the victory.
The report adds that talks over the midfielder’s future have taken place, with the Portuguese international boasting a €100 million release clause in his current deal with Sporting.
