Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly a summer target for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
According to claims from Calciomercato, the experienced forward could be set for a return to his homeland of France ahead of next season, with his position at Stamford Bridge under scrutiny.
Giroud has struggled to nail down a starting place in Maurizio Sarri’s team this season, prompting speculation surrounding his future at the club.
The former Arsenal striker sees his contract at Chelsea expire at the end of the current season, indicating that he could be able to join potential suitors in the summer for free.
Giroud has been rotated by Sarri throughout the campaign, with Alvaro Morata, Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain favoured in the striker position ahead of the Frenchman regularly.
The 32-year-old has scored just two goals in the Premier League this season but leads the way as the Europa League’s top scorer, with nine goals from as many games in the competition.
