Chelsea are considering a bid to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma in a deal that would see him remain in Italy on loan, but they face competition from Spurs.
According to reports in Italy from La Repubblica, as cited on Calcio Mercato, the Roma prospect is a man in demand after his breakthrough season in Italy.
The report claims that Spurs have already made a €50 million offer to sign the player.
However, with Chelsea willing to loan the player back to Roma, this could work in favour of both parties, if Roma are looking to sell.
Zaniolo has been linked with some big moves away from Rome after cementing himself as one of the club’s key players this season.
Previously, it had been Cengiz Under earning the headlines for Roma, but after joining from Inter as part of the deal for Radja Nainggolan, Zaniolo is the name on everyone’s lips.
