Andreas Christensen is a doubt for Chelsea’s Premier League finale against Leicester on Sunday.
The defender was forced off with an injury during Thursday night’s Europa League semi-final second leg with Frankfurt.
It was in the 74th minute and the centre-back clashed with Ante Rebic in the air and this challenge took Christensen out of the game.
This did not thwart Chelsea though as they ran out eventual winners as they beat Frankfurt on penalties after the teams could not be separated in regulation time.

After the game, Christensen spoke to reporters at Stamford Bridge and as reported by Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella, it now looks like he is a doubt heading into the weekend.

News of this injury comes as a blow to both Chelsea and the Danish defender.
This adds to the Blues’ injury woes, with Antonio Rudiger already ruled out for the rest of the season.
Christensen has often found himself behind Rudiger and David Luiz in the pecking order, and this was his chance to get a run of games and to establish himself in the first-team.
They will be hoping that the injury is not too serious and he will be available for the Europa League final against Arsenal later this month.
