Chelsea will appoint their former goalkeeper Petr Cech as the new sporting director at the club this summer, according to claims from Sky Sports News.
Twitter: BREAKING: Petr Cech will return to Chelsea this summer in a new sporting director role at the club, Sky Sports News has learnt. (@SkySportsNews)
Marina Granovskaia has occupied the role following Michael Emenalo’s departure in November 2017, but it seems a replacement has been found.
Cech was a trusted goalkeeper at Chelsea during the prime years of his career and subsequently moved to Arsenal after seeing his tenure at Stamford Bridge cut short.

The former Czech Republic international will retire from playing football next Wednesday after his Gunners side lock horns with the Blues in the final of the Europa League in Baku.
Afterwards, he will switch allegiances once again if Sky Sports News are to be believed, with Cech poised to step into the role of sporting director at his former club.
