Chelsea target Elseid Hysaj has admitted he is “ready for a new challenge” amid rumours he could be making the move to the Premier League.
The Albanian full-back has admitted he is ready to leave Napoli, but his agent has revealed that his current side will have to lower their asking price if he is to get his move away.
Hysaj has been a constant presence for Napoli since moving from Empoli, and made 27 appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s side last season.
Speaking to DigitalB, via Goal, the Albanian spoke about his desire to move on from Napoli, with the defender desiring a new challenge.
I’m absolutely ready for a new challenge because I need change.
I’m not the type of person who likes to stay at a club for too long. I want to have new experiences, learn about a new country, meet new people, play for another team and maybe try to win something.
For me, my time at Napoli is over and I hope to find a team that will give me what I need.
The player’s agent also revealed that Napoli would have to lower their price tag for the defender, which currently stands at over €40 million.
The defender is wanted by several Premier League sides, including Manchester United and Chelsea.
