New Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is ready to allow Mauro Icardi to leave the club in order to sign Chelsea loanee Alvaro Morata.
Conte is said to be keen on reuniting with the Spaniard once again following his appointment at Inter, and according to the Daily Mail via Corriere della Sera, could look to agree a swap deal with Atletico Madrid that sees Icardi move to the La Liga side.
Atleti boss Diego Simeone is reportedly looking to sign an ‘elite striker’ this summer with Antoine Griezmann set to leave the club for La Liga champions Barcelona, and Icardi could fit the bill.

A potential swap between the two European giants, however, would require Chelsea’s approval with Morata still contracted to the club until the end of next season.
The Blues could also look to take advantage of Icardi’s availability, having previously shown an interest in the striker, though a move could be dependent on their impeding two window transfer ban.
