Chelsea are showing an interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey this summer.
According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea were keen on a deal to sign Bailey last summer and are now revisiting that ahead of next season.
The report claims that Chelsea must await the result of their appeal to CAS over their transfer ban before making any moves.
FIFA hit Chelsea with a two-window transfer ban earlier this year, which could start this summer unless CAS delays the ban until January.
If they do, Chelsea will attempt to swoop for Bailey as they look to improve their squad following Eden Hazard’s move to Real Madrid earlier this week.
The report claims that Chelsea are looking to sign new wingers to replace Hazard and eventually Willian and Pedro – with the pair now both in their 30’s.
Bailey scored five goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen this season.
