Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has approved a move to sign Chelsea target Mateo Kovacic this summer.

According to Tuttosport, via Calcio Mercato, Conte has given the green light for Inter Milan to pursue Kovacic in the transfer window.

The report claims that Inter are keen on a deal for Kovacic, who spent the season on loan to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Kovacic on a permanent deal, which they would be able to do – regardless of their FIFA ban – if they completed the signing before the end of the month.

Kovacic joined Chelsea last summer on a season-long loan from Spanish giants Real Madrid and was a solid force in the midfield for Maurizio Sarri – helping the club win the Europa League and finish 3rd in the Premier League.

However, they will now have to compete with Inter if they want to bring him back to Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis.

Should Chelsea sign Kovacic permanently?
