Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has tipped Frank Lampard to succeed at Chelsea if he is appointed as the club’s new manager.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the Derby County man’s uncle, Redknapp, was very confident about his nephew’s possible appointment at Stamford Bridge.
He said:
I think it would be a major surprise if he doesn’t get the job. It looks to me as though it will happen. It would be brilliant for him.
Redknapp went on to say how Lampard would be a good fit at Chelsea because he is seen as a legend there and is adored by the fans.

He is evidently extremely confident in the former England international’s abilities and how successful he is likely to be if he is appointed.
He has a squad there that for sure will finish top six. I see them next season finishing, at the best third, probably fourth; around where they were last season.
Lampard has emerged as Chelsea’s likely preferred candidate to take charge ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The Blues allowed Maurizio Sarri to depart the club last week as he completed a move to Juventus, taking over from Massimiliano Allegri.
