Hudson-Odoi issues positive injury update

Callum Hudson-Odoi has revealed on his official Twitter page that his recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon is progressing well ahead of next season.

The winger limped off during Chelsea’s entertaining 2-2 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge in April, and had been expected to miss the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

However, in a video posted on his official Twitter page, Hudson-Odoi revealed he is recovering well and hinted that he may return to full fitness sooner than initially expected.

Hudson-Odoi made 25 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season prior to his injury, in what was his breakthrough campaign for the Blues.

The winger also made his senior England debut as a second half substitute in a 5-0 victory over the Czech Republic in March, before making his first start three days later against Montenegro.
