Norwich City make approach to sign Kasey Palmer

Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer has emerged as a target for Norwich City this summer.

According to a report from Football Insider, the newly-promoted Premier League club have registered an interest in signing the promising playmaker, who could be available for as little as £4 million ahead of next season.

Palmer spent the second half of the last campaign on loan at Bristol City in the Championship following a temporary move in the January transfer window.

Football Insider reports that Robins boss Lee Johnson attempted to lure the 22-year-old back to Ashton Gate on a permanent deal, but was unsuccessful in his efforts.

However, Palmer could yet leave Stamford Bridge for good this summer, despite recent reports suggesting that he would be keen to remain in West London for the foreseeable future.

Norwich, who are looking to strengthen their first-team squad upon their return to the top flight, appear to have taken the lead in the race for the England Under-21 international having made an approach.
