Chelsea have finally launched their home kit for the upcoming 26/27 season. The club quickly needed to move on from another disappointing campaign and this might be the first step to doing that. Fresh jersey, fresh beginning. At least that is what the fans will be hoping for.
Chelsea have tried to experiment with their home kit in recent years. And that does not change this time around either.
The club have gone for the minimalistic look this time. It is only the Chelsea lion as the badge, rather than the traditional one. Of course, that might end up dividing the opinions of many. Also, there is some lining in golden or canary yellow colour.

When will the Chelsea home kit debut on the pitch?
In past years, we have seen the club wear the kit for the upcoming season in the final few games of the ongoing campaign. That was not the case this time around. So, we have not seen what it looks like in action yet.
The first time we are expected to see the kit is when Chelsea begin their pre-season campaign with a game against the Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia on July 28.
Chelsea did go for a unique launch build up this time around
Often, kits end up getting leaked all over social media before officially being launched. This time around, it looks like the club took that into their own hands.
While the kit might have been launched this morning, fans have known how it was going to look for a good while now. That is because several celebrities have openly worn it over the last few weeks.
Whether it be golfer Justin Rose, pop music icon Madonna, American singer Noah Kahan or WWE superstar Chelsea Green, the kit has not really been kept a close secret.
Even Levi Colwill posted a small clip of himself wearing the kit during the photoshoot. Obviously, that must have been done on purpose rather than something accidental.
It is certainly a unique way of doing things. And in the social media era, where there is no real secrecy around the official launch anymore, perhaps it is the right way to go about things as well.
