Chelsea have received an official Aston Villa bid for Alejandro Garnacho as talks accelerate over the winger’s future.
Villa have proposed an initial loan which would include a clause to buy the Argentina international. Discussions are also continuing with Garnacho’s representatives over a possible move to Villa Park.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Unai Emery has approved Garnacho as a target following Morgan Rogers’ British-record £117million transfer in the opposite direction.
The offer represents a significant development after Chelsea and Villa initially discussed Garnacho and Nicolas Jackson during negotiations for Rogers. ReadChelsea covered those early talks between the clubs on Tuesday morning.

Chelsea are willing to allow Garnacho to leave following a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge.
However, Villa’s proposed structure may require further negotiations. Sky Sports previously reported that Chelsea prefer a permanent transfer and value the 22-year-old at around €50million, or £42.6million.
It remains unclear whether Villa’s purchase clause would be optional or become mandatory under certain conditions. The value of the overall package has also not been disclosed.
Garnacho’s approval remains another important part of the negotiations. Roma have pursued the former Manchester United winger throughout the summer, although Villa can offer Champions League football and an immediate return to the Premier League.
Chelsea now have a concrete proposal to assess as Xabi Alonso reduces the number of attackers in his squad. Villa’s willingness to submit an official bid suggests their interest has quickly moved beyond exploratory discussions.
