According to ESPN, Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma has publicly supported Jose Mourinho to get Chelsea firing again. The young Frenchman has commented on Mourinho’s impressive pedigree as a manager and believes he is the man that can get the Blues back to where they are supposed to be.
And then he’s incredibly intelligent, he knows everything, I’ve never seen him get an opposing team wrong. I don’t know how he does it.
Zouma is not the first player to comment on Jose Mourinho’s preparation. His ability to strategize before games, workout opposing teams and effectively neutralize his opponent’s threats is what Mourinho does best. This type of work is especially important for younger players like Zouma, who need that extra assistance to not only develop his game but to help him keep up with the more tactically mature players.

Every goal we concede, he’ll have shown it to us before on video. Then he’ll he say to us: ‘I warned you, lads.’ He leaves nothing to chance, it’s really the best.
The Frenchman believes that the negativity that is circling Stamford Bridge is out of Mourinho’s control. He points to the fact that in football, some things just go wrong. However, he has also strongly supported Mourinho to help Chelsea correct the problems they are facing. And it starts with the Blues’ attitude.
After defeats, there’s a strange atmosphere in the dressing room, there’s complete silence – no one opens their mouth. Mourinho has taught us to hate defeat. We’re steeped in that culture so it’s hard for us.

Mourinho is known for building his teams around not allowing the concept of defeat to creep in. The momentum that his teams carry allow for his teams to be successful, simply because they perceive no other options. However, with Chelsea struggling currently, their confidence is faltering, which has completely removed their momentum. In order for Mourinho’s men to regain this momentum, they’ll need to get some confidence back. That will only come with sustained victories.
That being said, Zouma feels that Mourinho is the man to get them back on track.
