Brazilian duo rally behind Mourinho

Brazilian internationals, Oscar and Ramires, have spoken out in support of Jose Mourinho as reported by Sky Sports.

Following Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool, reports of a split in the dressing room have swept the media.

Worryingly for Chelsea fans, an anonymous player has recently stated that he would prefer to lose than win for Mourinho, according to Garry Richardson of BBC Radio 5 live’s Sportsweek.

Nevertheless, it appears Mourinho has retained the support of both Oscar and Ramires as the pressure continues to mount on his futures as Chelsea manager.

Oscar has denied any divide amongst the players:

Everybody tries to help him but the situation is not good for José and for the players and the fans but for Chelsea, we need to start winning again.

Ramires, scorer of Chelsea’s only goal on Saturday, has also pledged his support to Mourinho.

We try to help him on the pitch, we couldn’t help him on Saturday but we will try every match to win because this is a group and a team and if we lose, José loses as well, so we are all together.

Additionally, Ramires has spoken of the need to return to the form which saw Chelsea win the Premier League title just last season.

It is difficult because when we lose a game, everyone is sad in the dressing room. The manager didn’t say anything because it was not the time but on Sunday we have a conversation and he will show to us what we did in the game. We need to play like we played before to win games.
