According to reports in Spain, Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink is keen for them to make a move for Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez.
Rodriguez’s relationship with Real boss Rafa Benitez has reportedly broken down, meaning that he would be willing to leave the club. Hiddink has requested that Chelsea officials finalise a transfer for the Colombian. Chelsea have previously been linked with the player.
Rodriguez burst onto the scene at the 2014 World Cup, helping Columbia reach the quarter-finals. He won the 2014 Puskas Award for his stunning volley in the Round of 16 against Uruguay.

He was purchased by Monaco from FC Porto in 2013 for a fee in excess of £30m. After his World Cup success, Real Madrid bought him for £63m, making him the fourth most expensive player in history. He has made 54 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 20 goals and getting 24 assists. For his country, he has gained 34 caps, and scored 13 international goals.
