The Mirror have revealed Chelsea captain John Terry will receive the prestigious Outstanding Contribution honour at next month’s London Football Awards.
The talismanic figure has recently been in the middle of a public contract dispute with Chelsea, revealing that if he isn’t offered a new contract he will play elsewhere next season.
Numerous other awards are on offer at the ceremony in Battersea next month:
The Premier League Player of the Year award features Chelsea’s 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder Willian, who will face competition from Spurs striker Harry Kane, and Germany’s World Cup winner Mesut Ozil, among others.

London Manager of the Year is a category the Blues won’t be winning this year, as Arsene Wenger, Quique Sanchez Flores and Slaven Bilic fight it out to take the crown.
London Women’s Player of the Year features three Blues; Eni Aluko, Katie Chapman and Fran Kirby, up against Arsenal’s Casey Stone and Leah Williamson. This is an award Chelsea also won last year with Ji So-Yun receiving the prize.

Former Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Čech has been nominated for the London Goalkeeper of the Year award after impressing at new club Arsenal.
Nominees and winners have been chosen by an expect panel featuring former players and representatives from the media industry such as Sky Sports and the Evening Standard.
Willow Life President & co-founder, Bob Wilson said:
The London Football Awards is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the skills of our nominees, which we have seen on the pitches of the capital over the last few months, as well as all the outstanding community work achieved by the clubs.
The awards take place on the 3rd of March where the Blues will hope to take home a host of awards.
