Antonio Conte has been named as Guus Hiddink’s successor at Chelsea, following months of speculation over who would be the new Blues boss.
The Blues confirmed, via their official website, that the Italy coach will take over at Stamford Bridge after Euro 2016 when his contract with the national side expires.
Conte saw his side qualify for the European Championships this summer without losing a game, and Italy are among the favourites to win the tournament.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri had also been heavily linked with the job, but Conte has been announced as Roman Abramovich’s man.
The Italian won three consecutive Serie A titles during his time with Juve before taking charge of the national side and is excited about his return to club management.

Conte, who has reportedly signed a contract worth £6.3m a year, failed to progress past the quarter-final stages of the Champions League during his time in Turin, but will be looking to turn the tide at Chelsea.
Former Blues boss Hiddink enjoyed a second successful interim spell at Stamford Bridge but is now expected to retire from coaching.
