Chelsea are already on the lookout for their next big-money acquisition and Antonio Conte’s scouts are on the trail of one of the most impressive midfielders in Serie A right now.
The Daily Mail not that Chelsea sent scouts to watch Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in action during their 3-3 draw at Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday, but they were not alone in their efforts.
Representatives from Manchester United, Barcelona and Monaco were also in attendance over the weekend to see the midfielder, while Liverpool, Manchester City and Juventus are also prominently linked with a move.
Milinkovic-Savic signed a new deal with Lazio in April which runs until 2022 and has been valued at £95m, which would make him a club-record signing should the Blues firm up their interest.
The 22-year-old Serbia international has five goals in Serie A already this season and will continue to be monitored by the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Barcelona, Monaco and Juventus going forward as they weigh up January offers.
