Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Hamburg starlet Jann-Fiete Arp and have had scouts watch him numerous times over the last 12 months and they could be handed a helping hand in their efforts to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
German source Bild are reporting that there is only a 20% chance that Arp stays at Hamburg beyond this season if they are relegated from the Bundesliga, which is looking increasingly likely.
With nine games left of the season, Hamburg sit 17th in the Bundesliga, eight points adrift of safety and Arp could be one of several players sold in the summer if the club fall down to the 2. Bundesliga.

The report claims that he could be available for as little as €7.5m, which could end up looking like a bargain if the former Germany U17 international fulfils his potential. Arp has made 15 appearances for Hamburg this season, scoring twice.
In recent months, Arp has been linked with the likes of Tottenham, Everton, Arsenal and Manchester City, as well as Chelsea, who are all keeping tabs on his situation ahead of a potential bargain summer move.
