Chelsea join three-team race to sign Isco

Chelsea will enter the transfer market in the summer for some fresh, young attackers but they face competition from two Premier League rivals for one of the biggest name set to become available.

After hinting at his potential unrest at Real Madrid, Isco is widely expected to leave the Bernabeu in the summer with Chelsea joining Manchester City and Tottenham in a bidding war to secure his services.

Isco signed for Madrid in a £27m deal from Malaga in the summer of 2013 and only penned a new five-year deal with the club last September, but the 25-year-old fears he doesn’t have the full backing of Zinedine Zidane and would like to join a club where he can become a prominent figure.

It’s believed that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola have already made an approach to Real Madrid to sign the Spain international while Tottenham and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on his situation.

Madrid value Isco at £88m which would make him the club-record signing of all three clubs said to be chasing his signature.
