Real Madrid do not want to sign Willian from Chelsea, contrary to claims from the British media, according to Spanish news outlet Marca.
It was reported last week that Los Blancos had lined up a £100m double swoop for Chelsea duo Thibaut Courtois and Willian, with both players in high demand this summer.
However, according to Marca, Real have set their sights on just the one Chelsea player in Courtois, and will not be chasing a deal for Brazilian international Willian at any time this summer.
The experienced winger has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Barcelona and Manchester United having been recently linked.
Despite claims of him being of interest to Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid, though, Marca appear to be adamant that Willian will not be switching Chelsea for a move to the Bernabeu Stadium.
Chelsea have made contingency plans, though, in the event of Willian’s potential departure. It’s believed that the Blues would pursue a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic if the experienced winger does leave.
