Jorginho discusses Chelsea, the Premier League and Sarri

The international break presents an opportunity Blues midfielder and Italian international Jorginho to reflect on his move to Chelsea and look back on what he has learned from his first couple of months in England.

Before heading into Friday’s game against Poland in the first round of fixtures for the UEFA Nations League – Jorginho addressed the Italian media at a press conference, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

He discussed the significant differences and reasons for departure from Serie A to the Premier League.

There’s a difference in tempo and physicality between English and Italian football. However, you can’t help but miss a magnificent place like Napoli. There were various things behind my departure from Napoli, the will of just one party is not enough.

Sarri is enjoying his adventure in England but he’s not changing much, he’s sticking to his habits. To understand the difference in infrastructure in England you have to experience it. At Cobham we have 38 pitches, enough said.

As one of Sarri’s key players, he has helped Chelsea start the new Premier League season with a 100% win rate from all four games.

Jorginho’s influence on Sarri’s Chelsea side is clear to see. The Brazilian-born Italian international has made 417 passes already this season, more than anyone in the league, and is one of seven members at the Bridge to have played every minute in their new campaign.
