Liverpool have been handed a major boost ahead of this afternoon’s clash with Chelsea as Virgil van Dijk looks set to feature for the Reds.
The Dutchman has been suffering with a rib injury, one which forced him to be substituted early in the second half of Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Southampton, and after he missed training on Thursday, there were major doubts about his availability for the big game at Stamford Bridge.

However, the £75m defender was able to take part in a training session on Friday and it looks like he’ll be available for the game as Liverpool look to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League season.
The Reds have won each of their last six Premier League games and know that a win will guarantee that they remain top of the table.
However, Chelsea handed the Reds their first loss of the season when they knocked them out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening and they’ll be keen to hand Jurgen Klopp’s men a second consecutive defeat.
