Bakayoko could be given Chelsea lifeline thanks to transfer ban

Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko could be handed a fresh opportunity at Stamford Bridge after the Blues were handed a transfer ban for the next two transfer windows.

The midfielder, who is currently out on loan at AC Milan, failed to impress in his first season at Chelsea, despite costing over £40 million to sign.

However, the Frenchman has impressed many at Milan, meaning that he could be handed another chance to resurrect his career at the Blues next season, according to Calcio Mercato.

Milan are reportedly interested in signing Bakayoko on a permanent deal, but a lot depends on whether or not AC Milan qualify for the Champions League.

If they do, Bakayoko could return to the San Siro next season with Milan, therefore, having the funds to sign the former Monaco man.

With Mateo Kovacic returning to Real Madrid, and Chelsea unable to sign players, it could be the case that Bakayoko simply returns to Stamford Bridge.
