Morata joined Atletico on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window, earlier this year, and is now poised to join the Spanish giants on a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old scored six times in 15 La Liga appearances for Diego Simeone’s side and will now be looking to push on again next season after leaving Chelsea.
This leaves Frank Lampard with Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham as his only three senior strikers at the club.
