Eduardo Camavinga is someone who has been linked with Chelsea going back to his days at Rennes. He did end up joining Real Madrid back in the summer of 2021. The links would crop back up in the middle of the 22/23 campaign, as the Frenchman struggled for game time at the time.

Camavinga would find his feet at Real Madrid eventually, though and stayed put at Santiago Bernabeu. But four-and-a-half-years since his move to Spain, he has not really been able to establish himself as a starter for Los Blancos.

Camavinga continues to be someone Real Madrid use in a variety of roles. He is not considered the first-choice anywhere, although he does get his fair share of playing time.

That being said, it is believed that Real Madrid are looking to undergo a revamp in the summer. If they do that, Camavinga might be one of the players they are willing to let go for the right offer. Could that open up a chance for the Blues?

Real Madrid stance on Camavinga’s exit confirmed by journalist amid Chelsea links

Chelsea are not the only club that have been linked with Camavinga. Multiple Premier League clubs are believed to be keeping an eye out on him. So, what do Real Madrid think about the possibility of him leaving? And if he does, what kind of a transfer fee would they be looking for?

According to MARCA, Matteo Moretto said regarding the situation of Camavinga at Real Madrid:

It’s not a non-transferable soccer player, there are already Premier League clubs waiting for him. At the moment Real Madrid does not set a price, but it is clear that they do not want to go below 50 million.

Camavinga could be a solid signing for Chelsea

Camavinga is not someone who would solve all of Chelsea’s problems. That being said, signing the Frenchman could be a step in the right direction for the Blues.

Camavinga is someone who is capable of playing in a variety of positions. He has played for Real Madrid in a number of midfield roles as well as a left-back. Chelsea do have holes all over the pitch and could do with an injection of quality.

Camavinga has played a lot of high-level football for Real Madrid. He has represented France on 28 occasions. So, he is someone who would add a ton of experience to this Chelsea side, even though he is still 23 years old himself.

Thus, Camavinga would fit BlueCo’s transfer model as well. So, let’s see where this goes. One would imagine that other top clubs would make their move for the Frenchman as well. Liverpool are another side said to have an eye on him.
