Italian outfit Lazio are the latest club to be interested in signing Chelsea outcast Mario Pasalic, according to TMW.
The 22-year-old has racked up some interest in recent weeks, with Turkish giants Galatasaray, Valencia and Championship side Leeds United also weighing up a move for the Croatian.
Lazio are looking to sign Pasalic on a season long loan, with a view to make the move permanent if all goes well. During his time at Chelsea, the former Hadjuk Split man has been no stranger to loan moves, with The Blues sending him to Elche, Monaco and AC Milan in the past few seasons.
Pasalic seems surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, and Lazio are looking to give him an escape route.
However, the Serie A side have earmarked an alternative target if they fail to land Pasalic, with Southampton midfielder Jordy Clasie also on their radar. Dutchman Clasie hasn’t fully established himself in a Southampton side who have just appointed a new manager, with Lazio seeing him as a back-up if the Pasalic deal falls through.
