Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September after a string of fine performances.
As reported on the official Premier League website, Hazard overcame the challenges of Willy Boly of Wolves, Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling, Leicester City playmaker James Maddison, Gylfi Sigurdsson of Everton and Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.
This is only the second time that Hazard has won the monthly award since joining the club in 2012 with the other win coming in October 2016, when the Blues went on to win the league.
A hat-trick in their 4-1 demolition over Cardiff City, the second in their 2-0 win against Bournemouth and the only Chelsea goal when they drew 1-1 with title rivals Liverpool have contributed to the Belgian achieving this award.

The Chelsea number 10 continues to lead the way in the chase for the golden boot with seven, two clear of the pack, with five of those strikes coming in September.
Incredibly, Hazard also has the joint second most assists for the season with three and these statistics have recently bought comparisons of the Belgian with the best players in the world such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The Blues currently sit level on points with the 2 pre-season favourites for the title, Manchester City and Liverpool, on 20 points and remain unbeaten.
