David Luiz has received offers to head back to Brazil

David Luiz is reported to have received multiple offers from Brazilian clubs, despite being in talks to extend his deal at Stamford Bridge.

With the defender’s contract set to expire at the end of the current season, it is understood that Blues bosses are eager to keep the veteran around, despite a series of patchy performances so far this campaign.

Calcio Mercato are reporting that the 31-year-old has offers to return to his home country of Brazil, however.

The Diadema-native began his career in the youth setup of Sau Paulo, before moving to Vitoria, where he would turn professional. A hugely impressive season with the Salvador outfit meant the central defender moved to Europe whilst still a teenager.

There is no indication as to which clubs in Brazil have made offers to the centre back, but the allure of returning to his home country is stiff competition for those seeking to convince him to commit his future to London.
