Juventus join Real Madrid in Kante race

Juventus have reportedly joined Real Madrid in the race to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea, with Paris Saint-Germain also said to be interested in his services.

Kante, who arrived in England in 2015 at Leicester City, has grown from an unknown talent to one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world over the past few years.

The 27-year-old won the PFA Player of the Year award in his debut season at Chelsea and has gone from strength to strength since.

However, he may look to jump ship if the club misses out on Champions League football for a second straight year.

It’s not like he’d be short of options, with Tuttosport claiming Real have held a long-term interest in Kante but now Juventus have entered the fold.

Maurizio Sarri also faces the possibility of losing star man Eden Hazard to the former and will be desperate to keep the Paris-born midfielder, especially with the two-window transfer ban Chelsea have been handed by FIFA.

Kante has just signed a new deal until 2023 at Stamford Bridge, which is a positive sign, but if the World Cup winner wants Champions League football the pressure is on Chelsea to achieve that this term.
