Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly preparing to leave Chelsea this summer, with the winger’s future moving further away from Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano has said Garnacho and Chelsea are becoming “increasingly distant”, with the Argentina international no longer viewed as untouchable.
The update follows an earlier report that Chelsea would consider a permanent sale if they receive a strong offer. ReadChelsea recently covered how Chelsea are seeking a permanent transfer for Garnacho, rather than a loan exit.
Garnacho joined Chelsea from Manchester United last summer in a £40m move. One year on, his place in the squad looks uncertain under Xabi Alonso.
Chelsea Face Garnacho Transfer Decision
Garnacho’s situation has changed quickly. He arrived as a major attacking investment, but Chelsea now appear ready to listen to permanent bids.
Romano says initial movements have started from interested clubs. That leaves Chelsea with a clear call to make before pre-season reaches its busiest stage.
A sale would be a sharp shift after only one season. It would also raise questions over how Chelsea reshape the wide areas around Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens and the club’s younger attacking options.
For Garnacho, the next move needs to offer a clearer role. He left Manchester United to build momentum at Chelsea, but his future now appears open again.
Chelsea do not need to rush unless a suitable proposal arrives. The direction, though, is becoming clearer. Garnacho’s stay at Stamford Bridge could be coming towards an early end.
