Chelsea striker Lois Shooter has signed her first professional contract before completing a season-long loan move to Nottingham Forest. The 18-year-old has committed her future to the Blues until 2028, with an option for another year.
Chelsea confirmed Shooter’s new contract and loan move on Wednesday. The striker said the agreement was a proud moment for her family and thanked those who supported her development.
Shooter joined Chelsea at 15 after previously developing within the London City Lionesses youth system. She scored 12 goals for the Under-18s during the 2025/26 WSL Academy League campaign.
The England youth international also travelled to the Netherlands with Chelsea’s first team last summer. She later earned several places in Sonia Bompastor’s senior matchday squads.

Shooter will now spend the 2026/27 season with Nottingham Forest in WSL 2. The loan should provide her with regular senior football after a productive campaign at academy level.
Chelsea have used similar moves to create clearer routes for young players. Brooke Aspin recently completed a permanent return to Bristol City after struggling for regular senior opportunities with the Blues.
Shooter remains part of Chelsea’s long-term plans. Her contract could run until 2029 if the club activates its additional one-year option.
The forward has already gained international experience with England’s youth teams. Chelsea previously confirmed her involvement with both the Under-19 and Under-20 squads.
Nottingham Forest can now offer Shooter an important development platform. A productive loan spell would strengthen her chances of competing for a senior Chelsea role when she returns.
